Overview

Gat Foods' R&D department sees itself as the link between fresh fruit and the products Gat Foods' supplies to its customers. By studying and familiarizing ourselves with the various fruits, different varieties and their growing habitat, we are able to derive the optimum from the fruit, matching the appropriate fruit component to each final product. Ever since Gat Foods was established in 1942, we have been developing citrus beverages thus making citrus our specialty.

Hand-in-hand with developing our product line, we have become experts in meeting the needs of our clients by making it our business to familiarize ourselves with the demands of the various marketplaces we operate in such as relevant legislation and the types of products available in those markets.

Ms. Amit Guy who heads the Gat Foods' R&D department works closely with food engineers, food technologists, analytical chemists and laboratory technicians. The R&D department receives constant and direct supported from Gat Foods' administration and general personnel.
 
 
The R&D personnel includes veteran technologists with years of experience in the Israeli citrus industry as well fresh and dynamic newcomers who are widening our perspectives with their experiences in related fields such as the flavor industry.
 
Gat Foods' R&D department has a marketing executive who works closely with a food technologist, each providing the skills (scientific or business-related) necessary to develop the right product that will meet the requirements of each individual customer. Products are tailor-made to suit price, purpose, market, regulations and variety.
